Knight Motorsports Inc. driver Scott Trinder and father Bob completed the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb held on June 29, 2002 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This year’s event drew over 80 competitors from around the World and over 67,000 spectators!

“The weekend did not go to plan. Unfortunately the team did not see a dent in the sump of our cars transmission after the Rim of the World Pro Rally,” says Scott (The dent was right below the main oil pick-up for the transmission causing it to run dry) During practice the transmission began to slip. The team managed to affect a temporary repair on Friday night. “ We all had our fingers crossed, hoping it would last the 12 minutes up the hill but unfortunately the transmission went into limp mode (third gear) 1/3 of the way up the mountain,” says Bob

Despite overheating team mate Lon Peterson completed the event 7th overall.
