RSport Rally won their class (P4) at the Cochrane Rally of the Ranchlands, and placed 3rd Overall! The event took place in Cochrane, Alberta on March 24, 2002. This is the teams second consecutive podium finish. This finish was impressive as the team won one stage by 7 seconds in their production class car while competing against open class cars with significantly more power. "I am happy with our result. We did not have the local road knowledge, so our drive was paced to preserve an in class result. We accomplished this goal and were fortunate to have a strong overall finish also. The car is phenomenal on the ice and snow. I can't wait for another winter rally," says Scott Trinder-RSport Rally driver.
The RSport Team is now leading its class in the Western Canadian Rally Championship and is third in the overall standings.
Cochrane was Andy White's first rally navigating for Scott. "Scott's speed is impressive. I enjoyed navigating for him and look forward to our next event together" says Andy White--RSport Rally navigator.
The event stages were mixed snow and ice in the morning. With the sun shinning, the snow melted for the afternoon stages, making for some tricky conditions.
The next event for the teams Subaru Impreza will be the Bighorn Rally. Bighorn will be held in Calgary and is the third event in the Canadian National Rally Championship and the second event in the Western Canadian Rally Championship. This will be RSport Rallys first time entering in Bighorn.
