RSport Rally driver Scott Trinder and father/navigator Robert have been selected by Knight Motorsport to drive one of the Knight Motorsport OPEN Class Subaru, Impreza’s in the Rim of the World, SCCA NationalPro-Rally!

Rim of the World will be held in Palmdale, California on May 3,4 2002.The event is part of the SCCA National Pro Rally Championship. The event has attracted over 70 of North America’s top rally driver’s. Rim is known for its tight technical roads and abundance of water bars (ditches that cross the road) that have led to the retirement of many teams in the past.

“This is a dream come true. I am extremely thankful to the entire Knight team for offering this opportunity,” says Scott Trinder (driver). The father and son team have been rallying together for over 10 years, and have chalked up some impressive results. With two podium finishes and many class awards in their wake, the team is eagerly looking forward to a competitive run at RIM.

The car Scott will drive is fitted with the teams most recent suspension and transmission.

Knight Motorsport will enter two cars at the event. The Knight Motorsport driver line-up will be: Scott Trinder / Robert Trinder Car#259 & Lon Peterson / John Elkin Car#48.

The next event for RSport Rally will be the Bighorn Rally based out of Hinton Alberta on May 16/17, 2002. Bighorn will be followed one weeklater by the Rocky Mountain Rally based out of Calgary Alberta. Both events are rounds of the Canadian National Rally Championship and the Western Canadian Rally Championship.
