RSport Rally driver Scott Trinder and navigator Bill Westhead finished second overall at the Thunderbird Rally held on February 14/15, 2004. The event drew a competitive field of 63 cars from around the Pacific Northwest. This year's event ranged over 850 km of snow-covered mountain roads between the city’s of Merritt and Kamloops, BC.

The RSport Rally team entered the event for fun and were hoping for a top 10 finish against an extremely competitive field of series regulars. “Bill and I were in total shock when we saw the final results. We did our best, but never expected to be so close to the front of the field,” Scott remarked.

“This result was totally unexpected, Scott and I were short actually for words on our drive home. The Thunderbird Rally is THE major navigational rally event in the Pacific Northwest and winning this event is a big milestone in one's rally carreer. Finishing second this past weekend has really motivated both Scott and I to come back again next year and to try for the overall win,” said Bill.

RSport Rally now lies second overall in the 2004 BC TSD Rally Championship.
