RSports other pairing on this event Bob Trinder with a new partner Bill Westhead in the hot seat also had an interesting event, finally bringing home a handful of trophies also finishing 8th overall in the club rally, 2nd in PGT and 3rd in the NW region class.

Driving Scott's (formally Pat Richards) Subaru 2.5RS the team had en eventful 2 days hitting a tree on the last stage Saturday, possibly the effect of a puncture, which broke the front suspension and entailed an 8 mile drive on the broken rim back to service. On the second day a similar problem when a wheel fell off on the last stage, a result of damage from the previous crash, left the crew driving out of the stage with only a few lug nuts on each wheel.

In spite of the problems which cost over 13 minutes the team still made it into the trophies all be it further down the order than they would otherwise have been.
